They don't check your license at that moment. Whether they do later is harder to know.

But you should carry whatever documentation about reinstatement you can, just in case you get asked by law enforcement for a license. (It could be as simple as you happen to drive down a street where they're stopping people randomly for some reason.) Or in case the rental company does check it after you leave with car but before you return the car and has questions for you upon return.
