Whilst LGW's reputation as the poor cousin isn't exactly news, have just been here in F lounge for lunch and was faced with the most paltry display of sorry finger sandwiches, cheese and limp salad (no bread rolls even). Absolutely foul- do they see Golds/F pax for destinations such as Bermuda, Mauritius or Tampa as some sub- species? Even the champagne is hideous, the Castelnau dishwater that always gets left behind at LHR, Lanson (!!seriously?) and half decent Taittinger...GF at LHR seems like heaven in comparison!
