Today I flew CX 312 from HKG to PEK.

I used my BA points for this flight and I arrived at the airport 4 hours in advance. Upon check in at the counter, I told the staff to put my QF (OW Sapphire status) no. for this flight.

It was wonderful when the gate agent told me that I had been upgraded. Though the aircraft is an old 777-300 with 2-3-2 business seat configuration, what can you ask for more for a free upgrade like this?

More importantly, this upgrade means my QF status has also been honoured by CX. That is great!
