Was very pleased to be OpUpped to First on the MH flight from KUL-CDG on Monday! Seat 1A no less (although on an A380 so not quite the same) and Dom Perignon 2003 flowing until I just couldn't help myself from getting some sleep.

But for the second or third time (the others were on BA), I was very unhappy between check-in and boarding, as I checked in online to a front row window seat in Business, but was given some rubbish aisle seat near the back at check-in. (can you prove you had reserved seat 6A sir? err no I'm away from home/work and don't have a printer... well, I'm sorry sir but this is the seat you've been assigned) Only to find myself magically upgraded at the gate. If they're going to upgrade me, just give me the new boarding pass... why have me annoyed for a few hours?
