Might feel like a bit of a consolation prize, but this is still a wonderful time to visit BC and/or AK, even without the cruise part.

In fact, IMO, you can probably get more done without the cruise.

I'm probably a bad guy to ask: you couldn't pay me to take this kind of cruise. You could *maybe* get me onto a small boat in the Galapagos for a few days, but it would require drugs.
