I don't remember actually meeting another FTer during a trip and them mentioning that they new I would be there based on this thread.

I can say though that I have had more than a couple of emails/PMs asking me about a trip or some information about a place due to my listing I was traveling there on this thread.

In fact, based on this, starting next year, I've been thinking about making a change to how I track the trips in this thread. I noticed one of the similar threads in another hotel forum doesn't delete the stays after they have been completed. They just "grey" it out to show it happened in the past. This way at the end of a year, someone could look at this thread and see all the trips made by everyone who posted their trips here (and then know who to mail/PM with questions.) We could then start a new thread every year so that this one wouldn't get too cluttered with years and years of stay information. I would probably suggest we put the year in the thread title.
