Went through my first zone boarding in years as I booked a FL R/T through WN. Anyway my return leg had me give up my carry on as I followed the rules and tried to board when my boarding zone was called. Bins were full, they were closing them up as I was boarding but I did surrender my bag just before getting on the plane. The entire process took longer than the WN 'cattle calls' with a few 5+ minutes hold ups at the boarding area. Must be those WN folks taking FL that screw things up of course
