I just push them out of the way with my foot, no need to touch them. Independent of this, showers are horrible and they should really have nicer ones for F passengers.
Holding into one of those beeper things while you wait for a shower is probably more unsanitary, who knows how many hands touch those per day and I'm sure they rarely if ever get washed.
