Is it really appropriate to be using female sanitary bins to hold the shower room doors open?

I would never describe myself as squeamish, and I'm sure they are relatively clean. However I'd still prefer not to have to pick one up and move it when I go for a shower.

Last Friday all the shower room doors at T5 were propped open by these bins. Surely they could install proper door-hooks instead?
