I was hanging out by the gate waiting to board when an elite 35K (tag on carryon) asked about priority boarding with his family (wife and 2 children) enroute to YVR, the GA said "No, only gold members can board with family". Just seems strange to differentiate 35K and 50K that way. Was the GA having a bad day or is the policy true.

Per AC website: * Note: Altitude Super Elite 100K/Elite 75K/Elite 50K and Star Alliance Gold members may board with members of their immediate family (including spouse, common-law or same sex partner and dependent children).

Hehe... next time I board with a buddy on our golf trip, no waiting, he be my "partner"... (golf partner of course)...
