I believe it is too much to expect from AC to be greeted by a simple "sir" or "madam", never mind being greeted by name! I flew both AC and CX long-haul recently in Y. I noticed during the 15-hour YYZ-HKG flight, the flight attendant serving my area never once addressed a passenger "sir" or "madam". It's a somewhat trivial observation until I flew CX shortly after, and it really became a huge contrast. It symbolizes the difference in attitude between AC and CX in-flight services. That, or am I getting old and craving people to address me as a sir?
