My in-laws are Indian citizens and are not immigrants. Also have not filed for immigrant visas as well. They have a 10 year multiple entry tourist visa (not sure what the exact code is).

The reason I was thinking of thinking of making them stay 2-3 days during transit is that they will be transiting a city they have never been to and I thought it might be a good way to see the city. Plus I will be booking separate tickets and so I would like to have a gap between both flights.

They will be coming here in Jan and it is not exactly a good season to visit Toronto/Niagara where they have relatives. I was thinking of sending them to YYC in June to see the Jasper/Banff parks. The next stop is YYZ, but since I will be using AA miles I cannot fly them within Canada. So I was thinking of sending them to SEA using 4.5K BA miles on AS metal. Then do a SEA-YYZ-India flight with YYZ as the free NA stopover.
