I recall seeing somewhere the AC or AP had selected Canadian North over First Air as its primary northern partner. I cannot seem to find it in my limited search but wonder if that new arrangement affects the collection of AP miles.

The First Air site indicates AP as a partner, but Cdn North does not. (I have collected points on both in the past)
