ANA was an official airlines of Universal Studio Japan and from 2001 to 2009 ANA operated 767-300 painted with Woody Woodpecker and called it “Woody Jet.”

When ANA introduced 737-700ER on international route with high ratio business class configuration, named it ANA BusinessJet and called Club ANA BJ and Economy BJ.

The company like ANA could have consulted a linguist about the naming. No wonder middle age U.S. business men like to fly ANA…

I know, can argue that ANA is Japanese airline and why they have to worry about the U.S. slangs. However, ANA does not use 全日空 for commercial purpose anymore because in Chinese it can be translated as “Empty every day.”
