In the past when deals like this have come up (due to glitches, etc.), they were noticed by many people, including Hertz. Make your bookings now; they'll probably "fix" this by the end of the week.

In the meantime, I'm making as many reservations as I can now that I know I'll need. Just remember that prepaid bookings aren't always refundable/modifiable.
