Crowd will not carry your bags - you will... Most of them will be quite good and it's a matter of personal preference for style and other features. Tumi these days has much more variety and options. B&R is great but it will look the same as pretty much any B&R out there.

I personally don't see much of an issue in 5 yr vs "lifetime" warranty - there is a good chance you'll be looking for another bag in 5 years anyways if you travel frequently. And if your travel is occasional you most likely won't have to worry about repairs for the carry on (checked bags may be more of an issue).
