On an international flight to ORD (widebody), while in F, I went to use the J lav, only to be told by the purser this was not allowed. I was instructed to not leave the F cabin.

My thought at the time was that it was to prevent congregations close to the cockpit, but I guess it is the strict rule, as stated.
