And yes, I agree that it is a huge difference. For the $650/night, I could probably find an OWV in French Polynesia and save the travel time and my 22,000 Hyatt points/night.
Mihiri in South Ari Atoll (small island next door to Conrad Maldives) was offering half board in overwater villa for $550 per night. Similar standard of property.

I think the overall revenue take from paid upgrades is going to go over a cliff
