It's not a technical stop, it's a full transit stop with passenger getting on and off.

It's been a while since I've been to BKK so I don't remember if there is any secondary custom screening for transit passengers. You may want to post this question in the Thailand forum to get a better answer: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thailand-624/
