Right now US flies 8X daily MHT-PHL. I seriously doubt there is that much O&D between those two cities. So, most people on that route are connecting passengers. Moreover, the only other cities US flies to out of there are DCA and CLT. Should the merged airline keep it as is? Or maybe shift 3 or 4 of those Philly flights over to ORD so that people heading to the Midwest and even the western U.S. have more options? That puts pressure on UA. And even DL.
