Hope OP got some news, having two tags on the baggage which arrived at DFW do provide likelihood of second baggage not having a tag at all. Under such circumstance the baggage would have remained at SEA, wouldn’t it?

What is the procedure under such circumstance, when there is a baggage without any tag? Because under such circumstance AA baggage handler at SEA wouldn’t know if that baggage is supposed to be AA’s baggage or other airlines’ baggage. Will AA at SEA keep such baggage under their care or will baggage handed over to airport lot and found?

When I had delayed baggage last time, I found that updating baggage information on the system is last thing people at baggage do. Looked as handwritten expedite baggage tad was placed on my luggage as soon as baggage handling found my baggage did not get on the flight, and looked like my baggage was placed on the next available flight.

However, the baggage tracking on AA.com kept saying my baggage was not located and calling baggage service told me they have not able to locate my baggage yet. But my baggage arrived before information was updated on AA’s system.
