I thought they were only on the larger planes (767's) - are they on all the flights now? I wouldn't call it particularly groundbreaking, I recall some domestics having IFE well before tablets - unlike short haul over here.

I do like the transferring to earlier flights option - keep in mind the SYD-MEL route has about 20 flights in a day though! I asked VA once and they gave me a lecture about not being on a flexible ticket, I would have thought having once less empty seat now and an empty seat later to potentially sell would benefit the airline but they decided to make it a high status benefit instead.
