FWIW, if your flights are CX-coded, you can upgrade using Asia Miles (which are an AMEX partner), although likely only to premium economy (unless your equipment does not have it, in which case you go straight to business). Finding someone willing and capable to do so, however, is tricky (see my thread on the CX forum on precisely this issue).
