To La Guardia, the AA Lounge there and the trip up to Barrie (approx. 1 hour 20 minutes.)

I had hired a Cadillac Limo at the Holiday Inn which was the same price as a yellow taxi so I thought, what the heck! It was very spacious and we arrived at LGA about 2 hours before our flight to Toronto. I was glad to be leaving New York to be honest and as much as I enjoyed it 3 nights and 4 full days was enough. I would like to go back and explore it a bit more but for now given it was July the place was extremely busy. SO off to Barrie it was where I have a very close family member so that would be a very relaxing place for the next 9/10 days.

We went boating on the Lake there, visited some friends and also went to Toronto and watched a Baseball game. It was Toronto versus Houston and it was a very enjoyable day out even of it did come down with heavy rain after we left. More about that later though

Check-in was a breeze and after and immigration and before long we made our way to the Lounge which is in the C Terminal. Our flight was from the D terminal so you have to go through the security in C, leave then go through security at the D terminal iirc.

The lady at the check in desk was lovely, warm and very welcoming explaining the lounge facilities to us. Now you have to buy your own food here but the Tea, coffee and Water is free as are biscuits and nuts. It wasn’t very busy and of course I wheeked (took out!) my camera and started shooting away.

Turn left at the lifts and this is what you see

Turn right where the guy with the yellow top is and that is where the lifts are. Hopefully you MAY be getting some sort of picture, I hope!

The little ‘Café’ where you can order food

Privacy in these Phone Booths

Looking from one end of the Lounge to the other although behind the far away wall that is where the Business Centre and Phone Booths are.
