I have no doubt they have an interest, but I was just saying they probably won't have an official travel policy for Eygpt. My recommendation would be to contact AA about changing starting location, maybe skip the first leg? That will probably be a no go, but you should be able to postpone for free (assuming no change in fare from issue). Worst case you can cancel for 5% of the ticket cost.
