That would be okay - provided that they have this facility!
it won't be stupid if the card got skimmed and got used in a distant foreign world someday. plus, all cards will have this stupid security requirement by november or so.

I was wondering why would I have to get up from the table and input the PIN at the cash register located somewhere in a dingy area...
In any case, my cards have never been skimmed in the many years I have been using my cards far and wide, so this incidence must be below 0.001% - unless one is transacting in some seriously dubious locales...
