Here is a breakdown of my moronic mistakes: tried to apply for my wife on 7/1. As I hit submit I realized that I had accidentally typed my name with my wife's ss#. I quickly hit the back bar and got the message that the app wasn't processed --so I applied again with the correct info. Two weeks later I get another decline for multiple apps received. Instead of having my wife call ( as I don't tend to get her involved in my credit card shennanagins), I applied again for her on 7/15. I then got the same decline reason (multi apps). So, I applied again on 7/31 and declined again for same reason.

I finally got my wife to call to see if she get an approval based on an explanation of what happened. They said there is nothing the could do since we applied 4 times. Also, now we have to wait 60 (she said 60 not 65) days from the two latest attempts. So I wasted 2 apps due to this mistake. The interesting thing is although I applied 4 times, there were no credit pulls with any of the apps.
