Question: Is it worth having two AAdvantage accounts (one for me, one for wife)
Here is the situation. I have about 20,000 FF miles on my account and I just submitted for the credit card with 50,000 bonus miles. My wife only has 5,000 FF miles in her account. We are hoping to make two trips within the next four years. One to Alaska and one to England.
What I'm trying to figure out is whether or not it is worth the hassle of keeping my wife's account active?
When I book a trip, do the miles for both of us post to my account or do they go to each of us individually? The other consideration I see is the possibility of applying for one of the bonus mile credit cards in her name, thus getting an extra 50,000 or whatever the offer is. The main thing is that I'm just not real enthused about managing two AAdvantage accounts, so I guess I'm just seeking some other opinions here.
Thanks for any advice, Matthew
