It's not a new card, it's just a new name for the very same card.

The difference in cards that qualified was if you had the really old Priority Club non-Select Visa that didn't have the annual fee, didn't earn the annual free night, didn't give a 10% rebate or redemptions, didn't give Platinum status, and had a different point earning structure. That would be different enough (at least it was in the past). But whether those non-Select cards even exist any more, that I'm not sure.
