TAP Long haul flight booking - Asked to verify the credit card?
I just recently bought a long haul flight with TAP for next year, using someone else's card.
It's asked me to verify the credit card and given me a few options. I've seen that other airlines do this as standard (or, I've read about the on Flyertalk) but never seen TAP.
It says I have until 12 hours before departure to verify the card, or the reservation will be cancelled.
This got me thinking: If I am unable to take the flight, could this be an underhanded way of cancelling the reservation? If TAP cancel it on their end, would I get 100% of the money back, or is there the risk of getting nothing, and then being charged a no-show fee on top?
