I would be cautious of doing this, on my recent trip with Cathay Pacific 3 out of 4 flights had a delay of over one hour. If the airline try's to make up time for its delay that could give you a shorter connection time and Colombo airport is not an easy airport to get what you need done especially in a short time frame. As long as you can get your boarding passes issued before getting to CMB (and from experience, HKG lounges have almost always been able to do it, same with the Transit Check-In counter in BKK) there is no problem doing a short turnaround in CMB.
