To Each His Own. I spend over 20k a month on my cards and they are not reported to the CAs. Secret? Pay it off before the statement closes. LC / PP comes with AMEX Platinum. I had the Chase Palladium Card, however, after they screwed me on the baseball tickets, I got rid of the card. It is a nice card to have, however, if they cannot be trusted for the warranties, then it's not worth the $595.00 fee that I would now have to pay. And yes, I think the Centurion Card is a waste of money too. People just get that card to show off. I was invited a few years ago and passed. Not worth the fee. Many of the people I know who had the card downgraded to the Platinum due to the crazy AMEX Centurion annual fee. For the record though, I do have a Platinum Card. The $200.00 airline credit, SPG Gold, Lounge Club/Priority Pass and a few other perks make it pay for itself. The one time I needed JP Morgan, when a game was rained out, they denied the claim. They had no problem letting me go either... Might I add, I charged a significant amount of money on the card as well. Never had a poor experience with AMEX. I have hated Chase, and will continue to hate Chase. It is just a garbage bank. This is just my opinion. You are welcome to form your own. But, no, the "perks", at this time, are not worth the $595.00 annual fee.
