I searched various threads, including this one, for "LGA ATL" and found posts explaining that, despite being short, NYC-ATL flights DO get a meal service!

Bagel with salmon?! That sounds really nice, at least nicer than the cereal I always get on regional jets! Is that standard?

I generally like DTW as a transfer point, and as a major hub, it has all of the services and resources to handle problems that ATL does. The one thing I don't like about it is switching terminals...the long walk through the very strangely lit/decorated tunnel is....well....strange...
I LOVE the tunnel! It is my favorite airport feature in the whole world! I like to stand at an end and just watch a complete 15 minute cycle!
