Availability on KVS shows Y7 on the 29th, and almost everyday the rest of the month. Is there any good way to gauge if an award will pop up? If not looks like I can do PIT-MIA-CLE, but early flight makes it a PIA.
The short answer is no. Best to use something like Expert Flyer to set alerts for the preferred flights, watch Y award availability. As long as there is plenty of Y availability, wait until a few days before the flight; if nothing becomes available, bit the bullet, pay the extra miles for Y.
