As others have posted, fees will be much lower from a different airport. AA is very stingy with their biz seats, so we flew home on AB with much better availability and had a great experience.
Sorry I got the title wrong it should read LHR to LAX, is there a way I can edit that or delete the post and start again? We will be in the UK most of time after arriving by cruise ship but we're not committed to LHR , another European airport could work.
