I'd love to have a screens as described by OP. I, too, have a watch, but that can only tell me how long until I'm supposed to arrive at my destination. Surely I'm not the only one who's experienced detours / delays / etc while flying. My watch also doesn't tell me where I am

As for using the proposed overhead screens for the safety presentation on pod-equipped flights, just think of how much time the FAs will save by not having to get everyone to first open then close their screens
