I don't think IHG is happy about the situation because from the flyertea forum no one is paying more than CNY 600 for a night in that hotel. The one next door is doing a sale at CNY 688.

That's not the only annoying thing - the attraction tickets - I don't understand why PRC people can get into Ocean Park cheap. I saw some offers in some Chinese site and they can get in cheap. As local you can get a max. 30% off through HSBC but that is.
Better they go to Ocean Park or Canton Rd. than where I like to wander.
