I stayed here on business a few months back. It's a decent CY but agree it's in the middle of nowhere and takes a while on the train. If you don't care about that, there's nothing wrong with the place. I didn't have MR status at that time so I can't comment in that area. For being in the middle of nowhere, I think parking was a little expensive. If you don't want to eat at the hotel, it's a decent walk (at least 15 minutes) to find a handful of restaurants near the train station but nothing looked all that great. Whenever the next time I happen to be in Basel is, I'll be staying in the city.
