Our concern is the time, hassle, and cost of going to/from the resort. I was curious whether it was practical to stay here if we plan on not spending most of our time on the beach or eating at the restaurants on site.
Was it easy to book taxis to/from the hotel? The resort has their own van/car service but it's extremely expensive (40/60 USD one way). It would soon eat away at the value of staying on points.
I still need to do my trip report. Overall it was a bit disappointing, but for one or two nights it is ok.
They have a free bus (twice daily, if memory is right late morning and then mid afternoon)to Hoi An and Da Nang, which gives you a few hours there. Taxi should be around 20 US$ / 30 min to Da Nang. Nothing in the area, and food at the hotel is less than mediocre and overpriced compared what you can get in local restaurants. There is not much in the immediate area. If you like to get out and have local food for dinner this place is less than ideal. If you are the opposite of a foodie and just want to relax at the beach and don't mind noise and construction around you this place might do it.
