A happy story - and compliments to UA:
on a recent FRA-SFO trip I was upgraded to C in a 747 and had a pleasant experience. After landing at SFO I collected all my belongings and left the plane, with a quick compliment about the nice flight to one of the pilots who had just emerged from the cockpit. After immigration and while waiting for baggage, an announcement was made: "Mr usuallyhappytravels, please see an agent to retrieve a lost item". As I walked towards the oversize luggage area, the captain pointed at me : "there you are, you left something on the plane." Wow - at that time I had not even realized that I had not packed the powersupply. The crew must have done a quick check of the cabin and handed it to the captain as he deplaned. I was very highly impressed!
