This is a matter of personal preference....Reasons to keep accounts open: Having large credit lines improves your utilization percentage. Maintaining old cards improves average age of cards. Credit lines can be moved from old cards to new cards. Reasons to close accounts: Having a large amount of available credit with Citi will eventually reduce your chances of instant approval.
I concede. I might have skimmed through too quickly. Pretty excited at this chance to rack up AA miles Especially after missing all those 75k links. Wasn't into this back then!
