Also, just because the higher Medallion windows have passed does not mean all of those pax received an upgrade. DL may have released a few or zero seats for advanced upgrades. If it happens, it'll be at the gate.
Correct. And F seats do get sold closer to departure. I fly JFK-LAS often, and as a Diamond, I get upgraded about 50% - 75% of the time. I have a flight this week, and surprise, F is now sold out.
