My own recent and personal experience says you are wrong. Maybe you didn't get it, but I certainly did. And I think also everyone on my floor did. There is a butler button on the phone and when you call they tell you that they will send the butler around.
Did a search and indeed it's even stated on the SPG site.
SPG top page:

Their
