Bottom line on bringing booze in through Customs:

1) Be prepared to pay duties on all amounts higher than the stated "free" limit.

2) However, there's only a small chance that you'll have to pay the duty. If you don't have to pay, consider it a bonus. If for whatever reason you do have to pay, pay it without complaint.
