I don't really know. I downloaded the DBTickets app probably over one year ago, but only used it the first time in April or May of this year. I had also bought a Probe Bahncard and the app remembered it, while the DB website was more difficult to tell that I had a Bahncard.
Do you have an account on the DB website? I think it is required for the app to work.
