Some here seem to think that airlines exist only to serve their top level elites or those who buy expensive fares (and who many times don't have to pay for those fares themselves). Some of us travel for business but are required to be thrifty to say the least. While we know that the high spending flyer is a big deal, I doubt very much that AS desires to throw out all those who are price sensitive.
I don't think that. I think that given the current AS route structure and flight loads, that Rollover miles don't give any competitive edge, or increase profitability. AS isn't trying to get rid of the price sensitive, but it doesn't want to hand out extra treats, either.
