My expandable tumi carry-on has served me well for years but I'd like to maybe get something lighter. I'd like to try the 4 wheeler but unfortunately the Salsa, Salsa Air and Topaz are too small as I pack usually for 2-3 wk trips.

In reading the various threads re Rimowa, little is written about the Salsa Deluxe Hybrid IATA Cabin Multiwheel. Is that not a popular compromise or it is just too large/heavy?

I fly 95% transpacific, business class not a problem with airlines letting you carry on. My usual set up is the tumi carry-on, a cpap bag and a small backpack for iPad [not more laptop] and other gear/files.
