Hotels are the same as airlines... They expect people to come and go and while they may track individual info, it would be extremely costly and time consuming for them to even send surveys or something, much less a welcome gift to return, and the precedent would be quite expensive.
If you're looking for some kind of promo, best bet would be a CC. Since that is seen as more of a long-term commitment, they are more sensitive to those who cancel cards. Try saying bye bye to one of your credit cards and see what happens.
