Delta also doesn't exempt their Golds from flight change fees or award fees, and their Silvers only get a 25% RDM bonus, instead of the 50% MVPs get. Are those also things you'd like Alaska to emulate in order to get an "advantage"?
Don't forget adding a minimum spend along with miles to be like Delta. How about creating something similar to SkyPriority where MVP doesnt get many benefits at all. How about a three tiered award chart to devalue the miles even more. I'm fairly certain most people don't want AS to turn into DL.
