Completely agree with this. In fact, I was thinking of making an extra trip, just for pleasure, for next month but, since I have one booked for November which will put me way over the top for MVP, these miles won't help me at all. So I am thinking of not bothering. Will miss Gold by about 9K. If I knew I could use the November miles as a head start on next year, I would book the Sept. trip in a heartbeat.
